Hush is looking for dedicated volunteers to support our mission to make healthcare brilliant, beautiful and human by embedding applied arts and everyday kindness into how care is delivered, led and lived. Whether you have a few hours a week or can only help occasionally, we’d love to have you join our team.

We have a wide mix of volunteer opportunities – some creative, some practical, some specialist, and many that simply need a willing pair of hands. Whether you enjoy helping at events, reviewing content, offering professional expertise, supporting behind the scenes, or lending your creative eye, there’s a role that will suit your interests and availability.

Some roles are ad hoc, others take just a small amount of time each month, and all of them make a meaningful difference.

Health & Safety

Hush is committed to providing a safe working environment. All volunteers are required to comply with the OH&S policy. No person, staff or volunteer is to be placed at undue risk or to undertake risk taking activities whilst completing tasks when working/volunteering at Hush. Any potential risks or dangers must be reported immediately to the General Manager (or other staff member of Hush).

Behaviour

We encourage our volunteers to demonstrate kindness and care for one another. Hush requires volunteers to exhibit appropriate, respectful and inclusive behaviour. Hush holds zero tolerance towards bullying, discrimination and disrespectful behaviours or actions.

Confidentiality

During your time as a Hush Volunteer, you may be provided with files, login details for various online accounts, and/or private information related to, or connected with Hush. It is an expectation that such access and details will remain confidential and will not be shared or forwarded to any others without the specific permission and approval from Hush staff members to do so. It is also expected that such access will not be abused or misused in any way and that the access granted is used solely for the purposes and reasons Hush staff have outlined.
